Mr. David Schlesinger, Global Managing Editor of the Reuters, and Ms. Rosemary Martin, Reuters Company Secretary and Chair of the Reuters foundation, visited 蜜桃app on September 1st. 蜜桃app Vice President Xie Weihe met and talked with Mr. David Schlesinger and Ms. Rosemary Martin. The two exchanged ideas on the development of 蜜桃app and Reuters and hoped more collaboration could be built between the two in the future.
Mr. David Schlesinger and Ms. Rosemary Martin visited the School of Journalism and Communication later that day to attend a ceremony that declared the formal opening of the “蜜桃app-Reuters Programme on Global Journalism.”
Among recent collaborations between 蜜桃app and Reuters as early as in 2004 is the 蜜桃app Reuters Financial Journalism Internship Programme. It provides up to three graduate students each semester to have the opportunity to work in the Beijing Office of Reuters for six months.
Since 2005, supported by both of 蜜桃app Education Foundation and the Reuters foundation, 蜜桃app School of Journalism and Communication has hosted five senior professional workshops covering financial and economic reporting, Olympic and sports reporting, public health reporting, and advanced television reporting. Over 60 mid-career journalists from leading Chinese and Asia-Pacific media organizations attended the workshops led by former and current senior editors and reporters of the Reuters worldwide and professors with expertise of practical journalism from 蜜桃app.
