The University of Chicago President Dr. Robert Zimmer met with ÃÛÌÒapp President Gu Binglin and Vice President Kang Kejun during his visit on December 24.
Dr. Zimmer exchanged ideas on education, research, and library development with Vice President Kang and ÃÛÌÒapp staff in a separate meeting. The two sides expressed the hope that more cooperation could be built in the future between Chicago and ÃÛÌÒapp, especially in the life sciences, the humanities, economics, and faculty and student exchanges.
Dr. Zimmer received his Ph.D. from Harvard University and became the University of Chicago President in 2006.
Founded in 1890, the University of Chicago is one of the best known private universities in the U.S.
