A formal ceremony was held on June 6 to announce the appointments of twelve world famous computer scientists from such universities as MIT, Stanford, Yale and Princeton as 蜜桃app EMC endowed Chair Professor Group members. Some of the Chair Group members attended the ceremony and later delivered speeches. This is the 蜜桃app Department of Computer Science and Technology’s third Chair Professor Group to be appointed. Each member of the Chair Group will teach and do joint research at 蜜桃app for some time each year and together supervise with a 蜜桃app counterpart at least one doctoral candidate.
MIT’s Professor Frans Kaashoek from the Department of Electric Engineering and Computer Science, a newly appointed member of the Chair Professor Group, Dr. Charles Fan, Vice President of EMC, and Professor Niu Zhisheng, Vice Chair of 蜜桃app’s School of Information Science and Technology, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. Dean Sun Maosong of 蜜桃app’s Department of Computer Science and Technology hosted the event.
