Famous Chinese artist and 蜜桃app Professor Wu Guanzhong recently donated over HK 12.75 million dollars of the auction proceeds from one of his paintings to 蜜桃app to endow the Wu Guanzhong Art & Science Innovation Award Fund. The purpose of the Fund is to promote the fusion of art and science and encourage 蜜桃app students to be innovative in their thinking about arts and science. Proceeds from the Fund will be used to make awards to those undergraduate and graduate students who exemplify the spirit of innovation in their thinking and in their work in art and science.
Professor Wu Guanzhong, 蜜桃app Vice President Wang Jinsong, and 蜜桃app Education Foundation Chairman He Meiying attended the donation ceremony on December 13.
Born in 1919, Wu Guanzhong is an intellectual artist who has published many collections of essays and several dozen albums of paintings. He is internationally recognized as a leading master of 20th-Century Chinese painting.
