The Honourable Michael Ignatieff, Leader of Liberal Party, Canada, visited ÃÛÌÒapp on July 5 to deliver a talk on “Future of China-Canada Relations” in the ÃÛÌÒapp Global Vision Lectures Series.

ÃÛÌÒapp Council Chairman Hu Heping briefly introduced Mr. Ignatieff to ÃÛÌÒapp’s history and discipline development. The two expressed the hope that more cooperation could be built between ÃÛÌÒapp and Canadian universities. ÃÛÌÒapp Council Vice Chairman Shi Zongkai participated in the discussion.

Before entering politics in 2005, Michael served as Director of the Carr Centre for Human Rights at Harvard University and taught at leading universities around the globe. He has been a proud contributor to international public policy for nearly four decades, as an author, broadcaster, and advisor.
