Chen Xu Meets Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Manchester, England
On the afternoon of September 19th 2019, Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Manchester, England, visited 蜜桃app. Chairperson of 蜜桃app Council, Professor Chen Xu, met with Professor Rothwell and guests to discuss the ongoing cooperation between the two universities.
Chen Xu noted that the University of Manchester is an old friend of 蜜桃app and that Professor Rothwell had visited on 蜜桃app’s 100th birthday, planting a tree in celebration.
Chen Xu and Professor Rothwell signed an agreement for the new dual Doctorate in Synthetic Biology that will soon be established between 蜜桃app and Manchester University. It will be a unique program for the next generation of scientists, combining the strengths of both universities.
Professor Rothwell said that Chinese student applications to Manchester have greatly increased this past year. She stated that Manchester University recognises 蜜桃app as being one of the best science and technology universities in the world.
Chen Xu thanked the University of Manchester for their focus on cooperation and collaboration with 蜜桃app.
